About Us

Save A Life Pet Rescue INC. was founded in 2006 by a veterinary technician who witnessed firsthand the growing number of abandoned, neglected, and mistreated animals in desperate need of help. Week after week, she made long drives to the Florida Panhandle and sometimes even out of state to save dogs scheduled for euthanasia, giving them a second chance at life. A year later, a close friend joined her mission, helping drive the rescue's work forward and expanding its impact. 

Nearly two decades later, that single mission of compassion has grown into a lifesaving organization that has rescued and rehabilitated over 25,000 dogs. What began as one person’s determination has become a network of dedicated fosters, volunteers, and supporters working together to change lives.

Today, we’ve expanded our reach through partnerships with volunteer pilots from Puppy Rescue Flights, who help transport dogs from rural, underserved areas to safety. We’ve also grown from hosting adoptions outside pet stores to holding events in our own dedicated space inside the mall, all while working toward opening the doors to a permanent rescue facility of our own.

While we’ve grown in size, our mission remains the same: to fight for the dogs who have no one else and give them the love, medical care, and future they deserve.
